Meet Dr. Lander

Dr. Lander was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  He graduated from high school at George Washington High School in Cedar Rapids.  Dr. Lander’s work ethic began to develop in high school as he worked numerous jobs including sacking groceries. Dr. Lander earned a Bachelor of Sciences degree in General Sciences from the University of Iowa in 1970.  He elected to stay at the University of Iowa for dental school.  Dr. Lander completed dental school in three years while managing to finish in the top 10% of his class.

Following dental school, Dr. Lander spent one year working with his family dentist in Cedar Rapids.  He then returned to the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics and began his specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.  Dr. Lander’s training exposed him to all areas of the specialty.  He obtained a Master’s Degree during his residency.  He continues to practice all areas of the specialty.

Upon completion of his residency in 1977, Dr. Lander left Iowa and established a practice in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  He now boasts a 30-year continuous career in the specialty.  He is a member of the American Dental Society, Oklahoma Dental Society, Southwest Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Dr. Lander’s education, however, was not yet complete.  While practicing full time, in 1992 he completed Law School at Tulsa University.  Dr. Lander married his wife Susan in 1989.  She is an integral part of his successful practice.  Dr. Lander has three sons of which he is very proud.  Eric, Stephen and Daniel keep him busy with Boy Scouts, sports and music.  He enjoys bicycling and water sports with the family.
