Meet Dr. Segraves

Oral Surgeon Dr. Segraves

Dr. Segraves is proud to call Oklahoma home. He was born in Tulsa and raised in Broken Arrow where he attended school through his sophomore year. He transferred to Tulsa’s Metro Christian Academy where he met his future wife, Lisa. After graduating from MCA, he received an athletic scholarship to play baseball in Kansas. In 1998 he married, graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, and returned to MCA as faculty in the Biology Department.

In 2000, he began his dental education at the University of Oklahoma. Throughout dental school Dr. Segraves received numerous accolades including admission in the dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. A personal experience with orthognathic surgery led Dr. Segraves to specialize in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. During the final year of dental school, he and Lisa were blessed with the first of their three daughters, Carsen.

In 2004 he was accepted into residency at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. During his four year residency at UIHC, He was exposed to all aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery with extensive emphasis on orthognathic surgery, implant dentistry, and dentoalveolar surgery. While in Iowa, he and Lisa brought home two more daughters, Hadley and Malin. Dr. Segraves earned a Masters Degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in May 2008.

Upon completion of residency, Dr. Segraves returned home and joined Eastern Oklahoma Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Tulsa County Dental Association, Oklahoma Dental Society, and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
