Meet Dr. Mumma

Dr. Mumma is excited to serve the community he grew up in. Born in Tulsa, he was a Jenks lifer where he excelled both academically and athletically. Upon graduating from Jenks, he attended the University of Tulsa on academic and athletic scholarships where he was a member of the Golden Hurricane Division I Men’s Soccer program for five years.

After graduating from TU with a degree in health sciences and a biology minor, he was accepted to the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. Dr. Mumma served on a medical mission trip to Peru during his second year of dental school and it was during this time he discovered his passion for oral and maxillofacial surgery. During his third year, he met his future wife, Whitney, who is a pediatric dentist in Tulsa.

Dr. Mumma is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry – Tulsa Campus.

Upon completion of dental school, he began his four-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Nassau University Medical Center, a level one trauma center in the greater New York City metropolitan area. He was exposed to the full scope of the specialty during his training.

The Mumma’s enjoy spending time with family and friends, exploring the outdoors and being active in their church. Dr. Mumma is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and is board certified through the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He holds active memberships with the American Dental Association, Oklahoma Dental Association, Oklahoma Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Tulsa County Dental Society.
